The Dream Night

Zach is having a late night gaming session in which he is playing a Fantasy RPG game "Knights of Far Earth". Only then does he realize how late it actually is, and does his good old ritual in game of jumping off of a cliff and pausing before he gets a game over. 

Following his habits he gets ready for bed and quickly falls asleep, only to suddenly find himself inside a dream. Specifically a dream of himself as the protagonist of his Fantasy RPG game! But his wonderful dream slowly develops into horrible nightmare.

Is his dream even a dream anymore, or was it never a dream? Has he actually somehow been put into a new horrible reality which he might not wake up from?
